This MCN \u2018Flamingo’ is a blend of merino wool, cashmere fibres and nylon. It\u2019s a fingering\/4 Ply yarn, hand-dyed in my home studio in France. My MCN ‘Flamingo’ is a variegated dye type, hand-dyed in pinks and peach tones. MCN is extremely soft on the skin.<\/p>\n
This MCN \u2018Flamingo’ is a luxuriously, smooth, soft yarn, that’s perfect for larger garments and knits up beautifully for shawls, cowls, hats, and scarves. I personally would not knit socks with this yarn, as I find it’s not a hard-wearing enough blend. Use it to create luxuriously soft items.
\nAll of my Merino is from well-managed farms that DO NOT inflict mulesing on their sheep.<\/p>\n
Even my repeatable colourways are hand-dyed in small batches of 4-5 skeins because of my fastidious quality control methods. I put only one batch into the shop at a time, so please make sure you buy enough yarn to complete your intended project. If you need a larger quantity of skeins than I have in the shop, please ask me to custom dye a new batch for you.<\/p>\n
I prioritise the quality of my hand-dyeing process, check carefully for tangles, I take care that the photographs you see are representative of the real product, and think about what I, as an avid knitter, would like to receive after placing an order with a small business.
